  • 3 3/4 cups cake flour
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Brown Sugar Filling

  • 5 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons cake flour

Brown Sugar Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Add the butter, sugar, and brown sugar to the mixer bowl. Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, beat until combined.
  2. Step 2: Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then chill the dough.
  3. Step 3: Preheat oven. Make filling, scoop and roll into balls. Form cookie dough around filling.
  4. Step 4: Bake cookies for 11-13 minutes. Cool, then make and apply glaze. Let set before enjoying.
