Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken or rotisserie chicken, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 10 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

For the Topping:

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed chicken, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Add the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and frozen mixed vegetables. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Assemble the Casserole: Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Add the Crescent Roll Topping: Unroll the crescent roll dough to form a large rectangle. Place it over the chicken mixture, pinching the edges together and stretching it slightly to cover the filling completely.
  5. Bake: Bake the casserole for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbling. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes before serving to let the filling thicken.
