  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Chocolate Chips:

  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, mini or regular

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. Mix Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars until well combined.
  4. Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla until just combined.
  5. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients on low speed, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Shape and Bake: Roll the dough into balls, place them on the baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes. Note that cookies may appear undercooked but will continue to set as they cool.
  8. Cool and Serve: Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Store in an airtight container once cooled.
