Dough:
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ sticks (12 tbsp) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Chocolate Coating:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Prepare the Dough: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla, mix well.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour and salt, add to butter mixture, mix until dough forms.
- Chill the Dough: Shape dough into disk, refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll and Cut: Roll out dough, cut shapes, transfer to baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown. Cool.
- Add the Chocolate Coating: Melt chocolate, coat half of each cookie, refrigerate to set.
- Store and Serve: Store cookies in airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
