Ingredients

Scale

Crustless Quiche Base:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 cup additional ingredients (see below)

Additional Ingredient Ideas (choose 1 cup total):

  • 1/2 cup cubed cooked ham or crumbled cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup crumbled cooked sausage
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes or cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions or green onions
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 cup chopped asparagus
  • 1 cup cooked cubed potato or sweet potato
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, feta cheese, or goat cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the quiche evenly.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the 6 large eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of grated cheese, 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese (if using), salt, and ground black pepper until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Add Additional Ingredients: Stir in 1 cup of your chosen additional ingredients such as ham, vegetables, or mushrooms, mixing thoroughly to distribute them evenly throughout the egg mixture.
  4. Prepare Baking Dish: Pour the entire quiche mixture into a 9-inch pie pan. Make sure it’s spread out evenly for consistent cooking.
  5. Bake: Bake the quiche uncovered for about 45 minutes or until the center is set and no longer jiggly. The edges should be golden brown to indicate it’s cooked through.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can mix and match the additional ingredients based on what you have available or your preferences.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute milk and cheese with plant-based alternatives.
  • To ensure even cooking, use a glass or ceramic pie dish rather than metal.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat gently before serving.
  • This quiche freezes well when wrapped tightly; thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
