Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

Pie Crust:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Creamy Filling:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or your favorite seafood seasoning)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking the shrimp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté Garlic: In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Cook Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sour cream, shredded cheese, and chopped green onions. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  5. Combine and Bake: Fold the shrimp mixture into the creamy filling until evenly distributed. If using a homemade pie crust, pre-bake it for 8–10 minutes. Otherwise, add the filling to the store-bought crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until set and golden.

Notes

  • This pie pairs well with a side salad dressed with a light vinaigrette.
  • Feel free to customize the cheese blend to your preference for added flavor.
