For the Chocolate Layer:
- 1 (5.9-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding
- 2 ½ cups whole milk
- 2 ½ cups Cool Whip , defrosted and divided
- 12 graham crackers , broken in half and divided
For the Marshmallow Cream Layer:
- 5 ounces cream cheese , at room temperature
- 7 ounces marshmallow creme
- pinch of salt
- Prepare the Chocolate Layer: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving extra parchment hanging over, for easy removal. Whisk together the pudding mix, milk, and 1/2 cup Cool Whip until smooth.
- Assemble the Layers: Arrange half of the graham crackers on the bottom of the dish. Spread the chocolate pudding mixture evenly over the crackers. Chill in the refrigerator.
- Make the Marshmallow Cream Layer: In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and marshmallow creme until smooth. Fold in 2 cups of Cool Whip and a pinch of salt.
- Layer and Freeze: Spread the marshmallow cream mixture over the chilled chocolate layer. Top with the remaining graham crackers. Cover with foil and freeze for at least 6 hours or until set.
- Serve: Lift the frozen dessert out of the dish using the parchment paper. Cut into squares using the graham crackers as a guide. Trim any excess filling. Enjoy immediately or store in the freezer, allowing to soften slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a twist, try using different flavors of pudding mix such as vanilla or butterscotch.
- Feel free to add crushed nuts or chocolate chips between the layers for extra texture.
