Ingredients

Scale

Protein

  • 1 pound ground turkey

Vegetables

  • 1 head cauliflower, chopped into small florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Dairy & Fats

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Grated Parmesan (optional, for extra flavor)

Seasonings & Liquids

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup chicken broth (optional, for extra moisture)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Cauliflower: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cauliflower florets and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and lightly browned. Remove cauliflower from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Brown the Turkey: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add ground turkey, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes.
  3. Add Seasoning: Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  4. Combine & Simmer: Add the sautéed cauliflower back to the skillet. If the mixture seems dry, stir in the chicken broth and simmer for 3–4 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan if desired. Serve hot and enjoy this comforting, low-carb skillet meal.

Notes

  • For extra moisture and flavor, adding chicken broth is optional but recommended.
  • Ground turkey can be substituted with ground chicken or lean ground beef if preferred.
  • Use fresh cauliflower for the best texture; frozen cauliflower can be used but may result in a softer texture.
  • Optional Parmesan and parsley toppings add flavor and freshness but can be omitted for a dairy-free version.
  • This recipe is low in carbohydrates and gluten-free, making it suitable for low-carb and gluten-sensitive diets.
