Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional, plus additional to taste)
  • 1 bag white tea

Additional Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (plus additional for serving)
  • 1 cup guava juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed, about 1/41/2 lemon, plus additional to taste)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Honey and Steep Tea: In a large measuring cup, dissolve 1 teaspoon of honey (if using) in 1/2 cup of boiling hot water. Add the white tea bag and allow it to steep for 10 minutes to extract the delicate flavors.
  2. Cool and Continue Steeping: After the initial steeping, add 1/2 cup of ice cubes to the tea. Allow the tea to continue steeping for another 10 minutes as it cools down, intensifying the flavor while chilling simultaneously.
  3. Mix Juices: Stir in 1 cup of guava juice and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice to the cooled tea mixture. Adjust sweetness and tartness to taste by adding more honey or lemon juice if desired.
  4. Serve Chilled: Fill one large glass or two smaller glasses generously with ice cubes. Pour the prepared iced guava white tea lemonade over the ice and serve immediately for a refreshing beverage.

Notes

  • Honey is optional and can be adjusted according to your desired sweetness.
  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for best flavor.
  • Allowing the tea to steep with ice cubes helps chill the drink without diluting it too quickly.
  • For a stronger tea flavor, steep the tea bag longer before adding ice.
  • Perfect for hot days or as a rejuvenating afternoon drink.
