These oven-baked s’mores are a delightful treat for all ages. With layers of graham crackers, gooey marshmallows, and melty chocolate, they bring the classic campfire dessert right to your kitchen.

Graham Cracker Paste:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1¼ cups graham cracker crumbs

Assembly:

  • 350 g whole graham crackers (about 32-48, depending on the brand)
  • 2½ cups milk or semisweet (or mixed) chocolate chips or chunks
  • 6 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Heat the oven to 350°F and line an 8 or 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Graham Cracker Paste: Melt butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a saucepan. Remove from heat and whisk in graham cracker crumbs to make a paste.
  3. Assemble Layers: Layer graham crackers, paste, marshmallows, and chocolate chips in the pan, repeating the layers.
  4. Bake: Bake for 16-20 minutes until marshmallows are browned.
  5. Cool and Serve: Cool in the pan, then chill. Cut into squares and enjoy or store for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • For a twist, try adding a layer of peanut butter or sliced bananas between the graham crackers.
  • To achieve the classic s’mores taste, ensure the marshmallows are toasted to your preference.
