Instructions

  1. Step 1: Make the Dough In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until the dough begins to come together. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
