A delicious and refreshing Tzatziki Chicken Naan Pizza that combines the creamy tanginess of traditional tzatziki sauce with tender shredded chicken, fresh vegetables, and Mediterranean flavors on a crispy naan bread base. Perfect for a quick and easy meal with a healthy twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed to remove excess moisture
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Pizza Base and Toppings

  • 2 pieces naan bread
  • 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken (grilled or rotisserie)
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, sliced
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce: In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, grated cucumber, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Mix thoroughly until smooth and set aside to allow flavors to meld.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the naan pizzas.
  3. Prepare the Naan Base: Place the naan bread pieces on a baking sheet and lightly toast them in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes to create a crisp base.
  4. Assemble the Pizza: Remove the toasted naan bread from the oven and evenly spread a generous layer of the prepared tzatziki sauce over each piece. Then, top with shredded chicken, halved cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, crumbled feta cheese, and sliced Kalamata olives.
  5. Bake & Serve: Return the assembled naan pizzas to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the toppings are heated through and the cheese slightly softens. Finally, remove from the oven, garnish with fresh dill, and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze out excess moisture from the grated cucumber to prevent a watery tzatziki sauce.
  • You can substitute grilled chicken with rotisserie or leftover chicken for convenience.
  • For extra crispiness, you can toast the naan bread a little longer before assembling.
  • Feel free to add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.
  • If you prefer dairy-free, substitute Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt alternative.
